- Peel off the protective plastic cover.
- Your mold box is now twice the height! You will love these indispensable tools. (A minimum of two sets of clink boards is recommended so more than one mold can be made at a time or the mold box can be doubled in size.)
- Lay your clink boards on the table so they ramp upwards. The surface facing you will become the interior of the mold box. Apply a light coating of Vaseline to the upward facing side only.
- Use a towel to whipe the Vaseline into a gloss. A light film of Vaseline is all you need. If you can see brush strokes, you have too much Vaseline.
- This is the standard arrangement for making a mold box. The bent angles should point outwards away from the center of the box.
- Sliding the boards apart will make a larger mold box.
- Four spring clamps hold the clink boards together.
- Each clink board measures 3 inches by 10.5 inches long. To extend the size of your mold box, additional clink boards can be added to make the box as large as you need.
- Use the spring clamps to hold all the of the pieces together. Notice that the two center clamps are clamped high on the boards. If you clamp too low, silicone will cover the clamps on the inside of the mold box.
- Two sets of clink boards can be taped together to double the height of your mold box.
